Window Decals

Its been a while! Last Tuesday my sister and I went to the mall, as we walked in to Charlotte Russe I spotted their window display and fell in love! They had some awesome window decals. As I have worked in retail before I knew that once they did a set change those decals were going in the trash. The manager said that it would be fine if I took them after the set change and to come pick them up on Friday. When I went to get them they said that some of them got ruined while removing them. I was a little disappointed but they still gave me the ones that had not been used yet. I got home and went to work on finding homes for my new window decals.

Goodwill Find

This is the side table I found at Goodwill for only $20! It was pretty ugly and well used, I sat and debated with myself about what to do with the top for a good half hour. Im still thinking about putting a damask flower on it, I am kind of caught in the middle. It makes a good side table or tea table for my chair. One of my most favorite things to do is to give new life to the old and unloved furniture. I am in the middle of redoing a victorian era sofa (more to come on this) after this I am going to be on the look out for a 70's style short dresser, I will be turning that in to a wine rack/bar table.

IKEA dresser

I got a little sick of looking at my red IKEA dresser. So I turned it in to what I like to call a dresser with a case of mistaken identity. What was once a plain dresser is now a victorian look a like. I did this all free hand, I thought it would add a little personal touch. All I used was some white paint I had in the back of my car and a black acrylic I had in my paint box.

This is the stuffed headboard that I made for my sisters master bedroom. This has a gray and yellow Demask pattern with a blue edge around it. This headboard only took me two days to make but a good 3 hours was spent at Jo-Ann fabrics fighting with my sister over colors and design of the headboard. In the end I think she picked out a great pattern and wonderful colors. I even had enough fabric left over to make her a small decorative pillow.

This is my favorite chair that I reupholstered. I found this chair and its twin in an old barn out in Mulino, the twin has a missing leg so I have yet to fix it. I used a black and gray Demask fabric for the back and a solid black fabric for the seat.
